This is a wonderful, and oversized, book about DaVinci and his creations.

It gives us not only a look at his invenwtions but also the story of his life from childhood to his death.

This book is quite amazing in that it really takes a close-up look at many of DaVinci's drawings and mechanical creations. It includes detailed explanations and close-up pictures of his actual drawings.

The scope, and variety, of Davinci's work is quite amazing and this book takes a look at a lot of it. Ranging from automatic crossbow loading devices to automated castle sieging ladders.

It also includes many pictures of working models that have been made from his drawings.

He was DaVinci and he was amazing.

Did you know that he created a plan for a machine that would measure the muscular resistance of a bird? That was one aspect of his fascination with flight and flying.

DaVinci did his famous drawings of The Deluge, an apocalyptic vision of the universe of death. This vision came to him after some kind of incident which left one of his hands partially paralyzed.
