How to Make a Simple Diorama -Part 2

In this part of the tutorial we finish the diorama by adding the various images and objects.

Part 1 of this tutorial is here

Glue down the picture

Glue stick down the picture then draw a support tab on it like this.

Cut it out

Now cut it all out.

Fold it

Now you can bend it to form a standoff. Apply glue stick to that back flap.

Glue it in place

Now you can stick it to the back wall and the planet will stand out an inch, as if floating in space.

Add a support

You can make little triangular supports to hold things straight like this one on the back of the observatory.

Add a stand

You can do all kinds of standoffs to hold the various objects in different positions and different depths in the box.

The completed diorama

So now have fun! Attach various objects in various places. And at different depths. Some go on the top, the side, the bottom and they stick out from the back at various depths.

And that's it! You have made a simple and fun diorama.
