Make a Model Apache Helicopter part 4

In this part of the tutorial we finish the model by adding the decals.

Instructions show the decal location

The instructions tell you exactly where each decal goes if you want to stay authentic. Each decal is numbered. And many military vehicles have variations so you usually have a choice of what style you want.

The decals

Decals are a little bit different than stickers. You don't peel and stick them on the helicopter.

Soak the decals

You cut each decal off the sheet and let it soak in water for about a minute.

Apply the decals

Then you slide it off the paper backing and on to the model.

Adjust the decals

You can wet it and move it around to get it into the desired position. Swab it dry with a cotton swab once it is positioned.

And that's it! The model is done.

Model BattleshipMake a Model Battleship (USS Massachusetts)

This is a skill level two model at 1:700 Scale. Interesting model with a whole lot of very small pieces. This is because of the scale. I used a head-band magnifier for this project and it is a pretty straight forward build. Attach the deck to the hull then add all the various pieces to the deck. . Make a Plastic Model Battleship.
