How to Make a Batman Mask Part 5

In this part of the tutorial we finish off the mask!

Part 1 of this tutorial is here

Cut out eyes

Now mark the eye openings. You might want to first draw out an eye opening on paper, cut it out, then use that as a template to mark both your eyeholes. This way you can get them just right before actually cutting them. And by using one paper template they will be exactly the same.

The eyes are cut

Now cut out those eye holes.

Trim the edges of the mask

Now trim all the way around the bottom edge of the mask. This will clean it up, get it the right size and give it a good look.

Add tape to strengthen

To make the mask stronger and to prevent ripping you should wrap black electrical tape all the way around that edge. This picture here shows some of the electrical tape in place.

This is optional but a good idea.

That's It! Your Mask is done. Congratulations. You can preserve it and make it stronger by painting it with multiple coats of mod podge or white glue.
