Make FrostMourne Part 3

In this part of the tutorial we start on the details of the sword.

Part 1 of this tutorial is right here

Tape the handle and cross guard

Now wrap the handle and the two cross guard pieces with black duct tape or black electrical tape. If you don't have these you can simply paint these parts black. The picture shows two of them done. Do the third one too.

Glue down the skull

Now glue down that skull face like this.

Add hot glue details

Next detail the skull face with a hot glue gun. Add eyebrows, nostrils a beard and more. Refer to the picture on the cover of the template to see what details to add.

Ping pong balls

Glue a ping pong ball to each end of the crossguard. If you don't have ping pong balls you can wad up balls of newspaper and wrap them in tape.

Make the horns

Now create the horns for the skull by rolling up newspaper and taping it.

Compare the sizes

As you are making them compare them to the skull so you can get them about the right size.

Detail the horns

Once the horns are done don't yet mount them on the skull face. First detail them by using a hot glue gun to draw on a series of rings all the way down the length of the horns.

Add rope

Add a few wraps of rope to each of the cross bar pieces. Glue the rope down.
