Make the Attack on Titan Sword - part 3

In this part of the tutorial we finish the sword by adding the details and painting it.

he detail pieces

Next we do the various detail pieces. These are all pretty easy. They are parts 5,6, 7,8, and 9. So trace those out onto foam board and cut them out.

Most of them you should make two of. The template tells you which ones to make two of.

Cut in half

We are going to glue all those pieces onto the sword but they are rather thick. So lets reduce them in thickness by cutting them right down the center of the foam. This way you end up with pieces that are half as thick as normal foamboard. This will look much better.

Cut like this

You do this cutting in half for all the pieces except piece number 8. For that piece you only cut the center section to half its original thickness like the picture shows here.

This next picture shows you where to put the detail pieces. And flip the sword over and do the same on the other side.

Where to place the pieces

Add the wire

Now add a wire like this. This is a nice detail.

It is glued on both ends with hot glue.

Draw the cross hatch

Now let's add a crosshatch pattern to the handle grip. I did this with a ball pointpen. Not so much for the black lines but so I could press firmly and make the indents.

The lines are about 1/4 inch apart.

So n0w let's paint it. Here is the color scheme that I used. You can of course paint it any way you choose.

draw the lines

You finish off the sword by adding the blade lines. I put mine at every 3 1/2 inches and I drew them with pencil.

And that's it. Your sword is done. Be sure to send me a picture.

Nice little project that is easy to make. I give you the template. You can have this done in no time with just a few basic supplies like foamboard or cardboard. Make Katarina's Daggers

Frostmourne

Make FrostMourne from World of Warcraft

This is a great looking sword and you just need a few basic supplies like foamboard and cereal box cardboard. Of course I give you the template. Make Frostmourne
