Make the Dark Souls Zweihander Part 5: Painting it

In this part of the tutorial we finish off the sword by painting it.

Paint the pommel

The paint scheme for this project is pretty easy. Lets start by painting the pommel silver.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Paint everything else silver

Paint pretty much everything else silver too. This includes the guard, guard ornament, ricasso and blade.

 

 

 

 

 

Then have some fun doing the detail painting. I painted the handle rings gold, added some details to the guard ornament and finished the sword by adding hot glue "bolts" to the parrying hooks.

Add hot glue rivets

 

That's it! Your sword is done.
