I need a hobby!
What kind of Hobby would be good for you?A hobby is a personal thing. Everybody has likes and dislikes. And you have to give some thought to yourself when exploring what hobby to pursue. Are you a physically active person? Are you a quiet and introverted person? Do you like collecting things? Are you detail oriented? Are you an indoor or an outdoor kind of person? All of these questions play a factor in what kind of hobby might be right for you. And the beauty of it is that there is a hobby that is right for you! And another thing to consider is that you can have more than one hobby. I have several. Collecting things as a hobbyThis is one of my favorite things to do. And it can be literally anything you like or want from automobiles to stamps! I collect stamps and it is a particular passion of mine. When I was a teenager I started stamp collecting. And then for many of my adult years I didn't do it. I returned to it now, later in life and I am so glad that I did. If you are interested in this hobby I have lots and lots of tutorials and articles about it right here: All About Stamp Collecting
Other Collecting hobbies:
Making Things as a HobbyI have a whole lot of different pursuits when it comes to making things. This includes making cosplay armor and weapons and even making telescopes! Yup! I make telescopes. If you want something a little quieter and requiring less resources and materials you might want to consider making plastic models. The thing about plastic models is that there are all kinds of models so it can also be about something you are interested in as a subject like rare cars, military vehicles or even super heroes. If you think plastic model making is a hobby you might like to do I have a whole section on it. I have at least a dozen different types of military models including tanks, aircraft, and more. Plastic Models
The realm of making this is very large! There are literally millions of things you can make as a hobby. Let me give you a few ideas. How about carpentry? And you can even specialize when it comes to this hobby. For example you can specialize in making grandfather clocks! Or how about making guitars? Think about this "specialization" when it comes to any hobby where you make things. There is a beautiful double layer to it. You learn the skill of a craft and you can use that skill to pursue a specific interest. One more big thing when it comes to making things. How about blacksmithing? I am an amateur blacksmith. And I love it. It is a great hands-on hobby. And it fits perfectly into to the idea of duality when making things. I like blacksmithing and I like bladed weapons. So, as a blacksmith I make knives and swords. To learn more about blacksmithing check out my section of the website here.
