Make the RingWraith sword - Part 4: Painting and treating the handle

 

In this part of the tutorial we finish off the sword by treating the handle with a rubber coating and painting the blade.

apply plasti dip

Now brush on a thick layer of Plasti-Dip. This is a rubber like, plastic like material that is often used to make handles on tools. It makes a nice thick coat and gives it a really nice feel. Plasti-dip comes in a variety of colors. I am using black. It also comes in an aerosol.

The plasti-dip is just about done and it looks great. Be careful with this stuff. Be sure to follow all the safety instructions and do it in a well ventilated area.

Do the handle, pommel and the guard.

 

 

 

 


Paint the blade silver

The only thing remaining is to paint the blade! I used silver paint. If you don't have silver you can use a light gray.

 

 

 

 

 

 

That's It! Your Sword is done. Congratulations!!!
