Movie review: Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet starring Milla Jovovich - Now I am a serious big fan of Milla's. Ever since I first saw her on an episode of Married With Children. She was a French foreign exchange student! ooh la la she is hot. I wouldn't say that she is beautiful but she does have that cat-like sex appeal and that oh so wonderful european attitude. This is a peculiar movie based on the comic book character. And these movie are all the rage right now. Some examples of these chicks kicking butt movies just released are Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux and Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta.

This movie overall is only average. Not a whole lot stands out. There are some nice scenes where Milla's outfit changes colors and there is a sword fighting battle scene in the end of the movie that is quite unique. The story line is a little sparse and the characters are rather cardboard in their humanity - I guess you have to expect this from a comic book remake. So my recommendation for this movie is that it is ok to rent but don't buy without first watching it. If you are a hardcore Milla fan then go ahead and get it just so your collection is complete - otherwise save your dinero for something else.
