Spartan Gear made by Web Visitors

Interested in making my Spartan Gear? Or maybe some of my other weapons and armor projects? You might be wondering if it is really hard to do or if other people have made this stuff. Well, lots of people have made my weapons and armor projects and they send me pictures! So here is where I will post some of the pics that they send me!

And, if you want to look through my armor and weapons projects they are located here

These pictures were submitted by Joseph. My thanks to him and his cousin for the great pics. He made the entire spartan outfit! Wow! and it came out great. Here is what he has to say:

just wanted to say great website!
I recently went to a costume party and used your website to make the entire spartan uniform.
I have attached the pics from the party.
Thanks for the detailed intstructions on all of your projects. everyone at the party was very impressed by the costume and I let them know of your website.

Looks like we may have to change the tagline of the movie from: "This is Sparta!" to "This is Wonderland!"

This shield was made by Tucker. It came out terrific and my thanks to him for submitting the picture.

This shield was made by Rob and his son Chance. It came out absolutely fantastic and my many thanks to them for submitting the pics to Storm The Castle! The first picture shows the front of the shield and the second picture is the back. Rob did some great improvising and to make the back of the shield stronger instead of using a piece of cardboard like I did, he used a pizza tin! That's a great idea and it does make the shield much stronger!

For the arm straps in the back he used the remains of a black leather belt to give them a realistic look.

This is a picture of a Spartan Helmet made by a web visitor. This is a terrific upgrade because he has added the Bristled crest to the top of the helmet. This project came out great and my thanks go out to him for submitting the pictures.

If you are considering making this helmet but not sure whether you can do it I say go for it! And Tucker has made much more of the Spartan gear too. You can see his vambraces here: Tucker's Spartan Vambraces. They have some great leather wrapping to tie them closed.

If you came directly to this page you can find my complete tutorial on how to make a spartan helm (without the bristle crest) here: Make a Spartan Helmet

Spartan Helmet with Bristles

These spartan arm guards were made by Tucker B. and my thanks go out to him for submitting the pictures. He used the template from my project and tutorial on how to make them and he did some nice upgrading and modifying to make them better. The leather straps to keep them closed looks great. They came out great. So, if you are unsure whether or not you can make them I say go right ahead and give it a try! He also made the spartan helmet complete with the Bristles on top. You can see those pictures here: Tucker's Leonidas Helmet

If you want to make Arm Guards like this the complete tutorial is located here
