I spotted this cheese in my local Walmart. And I picked it out because I thought it would me an interesting experience in terms of it being aged for a thousand days. And I was right. There is a certain taste to a long aged cheese. I can't really describe it but it is definitely there and it adds a dimension to the cheese. The first thing that came to my mind was the similarity to a wine that has been aged for a long period of time. |
This is a dry cheese and a bit on the crumbly side. But the taste is decent - Although I prefer softer and wetter cheeses.
Ingredients according to the label: Cultured Pasteurized Milk, Salt, Enzymes, Color added.
I enjoyed it with Wheat thins.
