Make a Water Battle Naval Diorama
Here is a nice little diorama made by a web visitor. (Ryan) He takes on the challenge that many diorama makers face - the challenge of water! This technique is inexpensive and easy to do and of course it doesn't have to be used just for naval battles. You can use this water making technique for any scene that has water in it.
Here is what Ryan has to say about how he made this diorama:
Here are the pictures for my new diorama. I asked you for a cheap way to make water. this was cheap but not the best looking. it is caulk spray painted white, dark blue, light blue, then from a distance i sprayed white, green, brown, and blue. then i sprayed it with polyurethane to make it glossy. overall a lot of spray painting. in all it cost about 9 or 10 dollars. including 4 bottles of caulk and 2 cans of paint. i actually used a light cover for the base. the plastic that would be found over the tube light bulbs in an office building.
