Looking for examples of dioramas so you can make one yourself? Here are some examples (With Pictures and tutorials) of dioramas I have made. Hopefully they will inspire you to make some terrific dioramas of your own. These dioramas run the gamut from simple, yet creative, shoebox dioramas to a very extensive seven foot long medieval style diorama that has a castle with real lighting and a working waterfall. Whatever your skill level is I hope you find these examples of my work to be inspiring in your diorama pursuit. Note too that all of these dioramas I have made come with a complete tutorial on how to make one yourself.
New March 12, 08 The Battle of Thermopylae I am currently working on a diorama of the Battle of Thermopylae where the 300 Spartans made their last stand. I have also transformed it into a tutorial that shows all the basics of how to make a diorama. It is not complete yet but there is quite a bit of great diorama making information there. Shoebox diorama that is suitable for most ages. It has a dragon that breathes fire and a knight. A couple of nice things about it is that the dragon appears to be suspended in mid-air. Polymer Clay Diorama - This is a fantastic technique for making some very creative and very beautiful dioramas.
