How to Make a Daedric Dagger

Materials List:

• 1 sheet of foamboard or a big piece of cardboard (Big enough for a dagger)
• Some kind of glue. Gluegun, white glue, spray glue are all ok
• Red, black, and Silver paint
• A knife to cut the foamboard, xacto knifes are best
• My template so you can get the shape of the dagger (download here)

Print up the packet of templates, cut out the pieces and tape them together to form three pieces. One full dagger piece and two handle pieces. Trace these three onto your foam board.

Use your knife and cut out the three pieces.

Glue the three pieces together, the complete dagger piece goes right between the two handle pieces.

Now paint the dagger. Paint the whole thing black first. You can use spray paint or brush on paints. For the details use silver and red.

This next picture will help you with the painting scheme.

Let's take a look at the fancier foam handled dagger. You can that it is quite a lot nicer looking. You can easily do this with a piece of foam that is 1 inch thick. I used a product called foamular that can be bought in sheets at any home improvement store. Any one.

This next picture shows you how to make the foam dagger. You cut the piece of foam just like the small piece of the dagger. its the handle and the back of the blade. The actual blade of the dagger is a piece of foam board. Use the templates to make these two pieces. The foamboard blade is hot glued right up against the foam piece.

To get the nice rounded shape of the handle you use sandpaper or emory paper. It will work very nicely.

Paint it up by first painting it all black then add the silver and red details.
