Spreading the Joy of Mead!
I got an email from a gentleman (Steven McCurry) who discovered this mead making site and was totally bitten by the mead making bug. He attrributes this site to launching him into a rewarding new hobby and he gives me a lot of credit and a lot of thanks for this. But, he also sent me a bunch of pictures and information about his mead making and for that I want to give him thanks!

A month ago I was researching my family's history as discovered by my seventeen year old son. During this I discovered your Mead page. Well Sir the rest is recent history! I've learned so much from your "easy mead" tutorial, and carried it towards more complex recipes and all within the 1 st month of this awakening! I wanted to take a moment to give you a hearty THANK YOU! for taking the time to do all that you do in order to preserve our ancient history! You are such an inspiration!
Anyhoo, my point here is that if you ever thought about making some mead then why not go ahead and do it! It has launched Steven into a new hobby that he is finding really rewarding. The same thing might happen to you too! What's the worst that can happen? Maybe you lose a batch and a few dollars but... nothing ventured nothing gained :)

 A Note from Will: One of the awesome things that Steven is doing with his mead is the taking of very careful notes! I recommend you do this even if you are only making one batch! Time flies and your mead will be fermenting for months. You might not remember what is in it or what you did when it comes time to enjoy it or make another batch.
