Designed to promote mead for home brewers. Register on their site and get good ideas for hosting your own mead making party AHA Mead Day Springfest at Long Island Meadery: - If you live in the northeast and have always wanted to visit a Meadery you might want to try Long Island Meadery - The event is on April 25 Learning Vacation - How about taking a mead making vacation to a European Country that has the experts that have been making it for a very long time. The mead Making vacation 2008 class dates: May 25-31 & August 17-23.
Competitions:Mead Competitions Throughout the Year January - Meadlennium is hosted by the Central Florida Home Brewers in Orlando, Florida, USA. This is the second largest mead-only competition and is also the longest-running mead-only competition. Meadlennium is a BJCP/AHA sanctioned event. Held annually near the end of January in Orlando, Florida, the next Meadllennium will be January 26, 2008. The entry deadline is January 2-19, 2008. February - Domras Cup by the Ssavannah Brewers League - This competition was only open to club members but it is now an AHA sanctioned event and open to all home based mead makers learn more here February - International Mead Festival (IMF) Home Mead Makers Competition is hosted by the IMF in Denver/Boulder, Colorado, USA. The Home Mead Makers Competition (HMMC) is the largest Mead-Only contest. It is a BJCP/AHA and IMA sanctioned event. Though the judging will take place in January, the competition results are announced at the International Mead Festival , which takes place on February 8-9, 2008. The entry deadline is Saturday, December 15, 2007. Vist Home Mead Maker Competition - IMF 2008 . May - Goblets of Gold mead competition will take place in Homer, Arkansas, USA. This competition is hosted by the Q & Q Brewers Guild and the Ring of Fire Meadery, and it is a BJCP/AHA sanctioned event. The competition date for 2007 was May 11.

The AHA Club-Only Competitions (COC) are open to all AHA-registered homebrew clubs. This is a BJCP/AHA sanctioned competition. The AHA Club-Only Mead Competition will be held on August 2, 2008. October - Valhalla, the Meading of Life is hosted by Brewers Unlimited Zany Zymurgists (BUZZ) in West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA. This is a BJCP/AHA sanctioned event.
