This is an absolutely wonderful book. If you have a curious mind this book will affect you in a great way. I don't know how else to desribe it other than "Beautiful" as a book. Reading this book gave me a feeling that I only sometimes feel with a book. A couple of examples of that feeling are 2. The Seven Mysteries of Life

Let me try to explain this book. It isn't really a da Vinci book exclusively. It spends does spend time with Leonardo. But it paints the picture of how da Vinci was involved in the birth of Science and it's contrapunction with Art. It goes deeper than Science vs. Art though. That perception of opposing forces is better described as one one side there is The pursuit of the various science along with Mathematics. And on the other side is Art, philosophy, and religion. It kind of can be described as the tangible vs the intangible. And da Vinci was a true Renaissance man because he embraced all of these things in his own unique way. Let me return back to my original thought about the feeling of this book. While it does spend time with Leonardo; that is only a part of the book. A good portion of the book is about the beauty of mathematics and how it developed and evolved in this infancy century while da Vinci lived. Some of the things the author brings to us:
