In this part of the tutorial we start gluing pieces together and making the sub-assemblies.

Part 1 of this tutorial is here

We start with the pilot and the cockpit sub assembly. It is about 8 pieces.

Apply glue

Apply the arm

The pilot in the cockpit

Here is the cockpit subassembly all assembled and looking good.

Install cockpit into fuselage

Then we glue the cockpit into one half of the fuselage.

Looks good

Then we glue the second half of the fuselage on.

The engine sub assemblies

Then we put together the engines sub assembly.

The fuselage

Then glue that assembly onto the fuselage.

This is a great little plastic model kit. It is very inexpensive, easy to build and looks great. If you have never built a plastic model this one is a great first project. I have a complete tutorial and a video right here: Make a P51 Mustang
