In this part of the tutorial we add the handle and finish the building of the sword.

Our dowel is 1 1/4 inches in diameter so I drilled out a hole of the same size. And make it as deep as possible. The deeper the hole the better. It will add strength.

Put some glue in the drilled hole and sharpen the handle so it can really be secured into the hole.

Then I cut and added the additional handle pieces. I used dowels on these pieces also to pin them just like with the teeth. And I used liquid nails.

Then cut the bevels in the teeth.

It is looking good. Lets start on the details.

Next carve a pommel out of scrap foam and use liquid nails to attach it to the end of the handle.
