Beekeeping Tools and EquipmentThe Hive is going to be the biggest expense when it comes to raising bees. From there you will probably spend a little to get your batch of bees. Then after that you just need a few tools and some equipment to keep you going in your pursuit of beekeeping. It can get expensive depending on how you do it and what you want. But you can keep the expense way down with a little effort and creativity.

After this you probably want to think about how you are going to extract the honey. This can be difficult and problematic but you can just contact some local bee associations and ask them for help. Typically somebody with an extractor will do your honey for you in exchange for some honey. If you want to buy your own extractor (As I have done) You can shop around craigslist or ebay and get a reasonable price. They last forever. This is a completely assembled and painted hive kit. It includes all the essential items of a hive. Made with finger-jointed white pine supers. Includes a screened bottom board, mite board, feeder, entrance reducer, inner cover and lid. This kit includes 3 medium sized supers. Medium supers are lighter and easier to handle. The bottom two boxes will typically be used as the brood chamber. These are commercial grade quality hives. This means that there may be some minor knots in the wood, they may have a bit of a rougher cut, or the paint may not complete every nook and cranny. Our goal is to sell a quality structurally sound hive. Hives are painted with a block-out primer and then covered with a 15-year semi-gloss coat. Bee Stuff 
Here is a closer look at the smoker. The bellows is on the left you squeeze the bellows and smoke comes out. The conical top of the smoker is hinged so you just hinge it open, add some burning materials and light it.
