Mites can be devasting to a hive and you should regularly check on the percentage of mites your hive is holding. And checking on the level of mites can be difficult or even harmful to the bees . But a process has been outlined by Dr. Spivak at the University of Minnesota which is benevolent to the bees and the hive. We show you the process as it is done. Pretty easy to do and personally I think the bees probably love it because they get coated with sugar!
