a miniature jade bonsai

The Miniature Jade ( official name: Portulacaria Afra) Is a tropical succulent. This means that it stores water in its leaves. And that gives us some benefits as a beginner bonsai grower. It is a durable plant and can tolerate erratic watering. It is also well suited as an indoor tree. It also grows quickly so it is a naturally good specimen for shaping as a bonsai.

If you are new to bonsai this is a good choice if you want an indoor tree.

Brussel's Jade Bonsai

The Dwarf Jade is one of the easiest indoor bonsai to grow and is recommended for beginners. Small, rounded, fleshy leaves contrast nicely with straight, substantial trunks. Dwarf Jade trees adapt well to a variety of light conditions and can manage without water for long periods. These trees grow quickly so no long waits are required to observe the results of styling efforts. The plant will end up frozen when exposed to extreme cold temperatures

Mini Jade Plant Bonsai Starter Plant - Portulacaria afra - 4" Pot

This very unusual and colorful plant is a slower growing succulent with dark green leaves and dark stems. It is an excellent house plant for a sunny window. It is native to Africa and likes to go dry between waterings. It is also excellent for bonsai! It has a pale pink flower. The fleshy trunk, branches and leaves are able to store water for a long period of time which makes it particularly well suited for offices, dormitory rooms, or anyone not wanting to be a slave to their plants.

The plant you will receive is similar to the one pictured above. It is growing in a 4" Pot, about 8" tall and well rooted. The trunk is one inch in diameter. All you need is a bonsai pot!
