One of the biggest challenges an artist can face is to paint things underwater because there is something between the viewer and the objects in the painting - Water. This doesnt mean you just paint a light color blue over everything! It means that all the colors in the image are changed by the water. So you have to consider new shades of all the colors. This takes time and practice. You should do some underwater scenes. It will improve your eye and your color sense.
