Fantasy Art School
Being a fantasy artist opens up a lot of different avenues for expression and one of the best avenues is doing the artwork for fantasy stories and novels. These works emphasize the magical sense that can be had by a sensitive eye toward fantasy writing. You can evoke a real sense of feeling with the right art techniques. Here is a series of pictures done by an artist named Lagif for the writing of fantasy novelist Andy Polyak. These works are copyrighted by the artist and if you want to learn more or use these works please contact the artist. See more of lagif's wonderful fantasy work at: Fantasy Art by Lagif See more of the writers fantasy work and see how the artwork is used in his writing at: Andy Polyak's Fantasy books and writing The following two works are from from Andy Polyak's fantasy Narrative "The Key to El Dorado" The works are copyright© Lagif 2007 and El Dorado is copyright© Andy Polyak.
But not all fantasy is in the Medieval theme. The definition of fantasy means it could happen in any realm and any time period. The next two art works show a transition to a new time period yet still maintain a great fantasy feeling. Can you see how the artist has moved into a new feeling with these works? It is appropriate because the setting is a different time than the previous work. This work is from Andy Polyak's "The Phoenix Ash" The work is copyright© Lagif 2007 and The Phoenix Ash copyright© Andy Polyak.
This is another interesting work that shows a nice use of the contrasting blue and black to make a simple yet compelling scene. This work is from Andy Polyak's "The Phoenix Ash" The work is copyright© Lagif 2007 and The Phoenix Ash copyright© Andy Polyak.
