An Aquarium inside a terrarium

A terrarium is a miniature ecosystem as is an aquarium. But how about an aquatic terrarium that combines both into its own little ecosystem? This is exactly what Chris D. has done with this wonderful little project. (My thanks to him for submitting these pictures). And one of the beautiful things about this project is that he built the whole thing from scratch- much of it repurposed materials. The cover is made from Bombay Sapphire bottles and the tile planter on the end are repurposed from an old airline lounge in Boston.

This project kind of reminds me of another project with a terrarium inside a terraium. That one has a tiny little glass terrarium bottle placed inside a terrarium. That's a pretty cool project too. You can see it here: The terrarium within a terrarium
